Lipstick and my two year old

We have a saying in our home that matches Tayla to a T!!! It is: Lipstick fixes everything. This is not an exaggeration with her. If she's hurt, sad, upset in any way shape or form all you've got to do is pull out lipstick, chapstick, lip gloss, heck anything that goes on the lips!!! I'm pretty sure that her arm could be cut off and to get her to stop crying I would just have to pull out my lipstick! Either way, she's stinkin cute and it makes me laugh my butt off!!! I think that Mylee is starting to fall into the same pattern and it kinda scares me!!! Please note that in these pictures I did not put the lipstick on her that she did it all by herself! oh and this was the morning we went to get family pictures done. She saw me putting on my lipstick and went into the bathroom and put hers on so she could be "just like you mommy" it melted my heart!

Halloween Fun

So this year Shaun wanted to go as a hillbilly and he suggested I be his old lady!!! It was tons of fun going to DI to find the stuff for my costume. As luck would have it, Shaun had everything but a wig in his stash of stuff!!! We had a blast taking the kids to the trunk or treat at the church and then taking them to a couple of houses around our house! We went to probably 2 or 3 houses first then put the kids back in the car to go to the trunk or treat. Mylee had all of her candy ate before we got to the church. Then we left the church and by the time we got to the other houses and places we had to go, Mylee had attempted to eat the rest of her candy! When we got to our friend's house, she sampled every little bit of candy she could and dropped about 4 suckers!

I am in LOVE with these two little girls! Let me just tell you how beautiful and wonderful they are. They make my day worthwhile and the fact that they say the darndest things is a plus! This morning Tayla told us that Mylee had little boobies! and when she told my mom this, my mom said no Mylee doesn't have boobies and Tayla said yes she does but they're little grandma. How funny is that! She also told me that she was going to fly to the Halloween party because she had wings but that Mylee would be stuck walking because she didn't have wings. Luckily for Mylee, Mommy carried her most of the way!!!

The LOVE of Fall

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch yesterday. They had sooooooo much fun! I love to see the look in their eyes and the giddiness when they see thousands and thousands (literally) of pumpkins. I told Tayla to pick whichever pumpkin she wanted that she could have anyone that she chose. She ran over to several and touched and ran to another. I told her big or little whatever you want! This is the pumpkin she chose!

I had to convince her that although she could get a small one she also should get a big one so that she could carve it! This is Mylee. She was sooooo out of it! I tried and tried to get her to wake up and she wouldn't. She fell asleep right before we pulled in and Shaun and I both needed our hands so I layed her in the wheelbarrow!

Man this kid can sleep ANYWHERE! We finally decided on our pumpkins. This place had the BIGGEST gourds I have ever seen before. They were way bigger then Mylee and I'm sure weighed double what Tayla weighs! The pics don't show nearly how big they were! We had tons of fun though! I love fall and pumpkins and the smell of it all! Oh how excited I am to bring up the memories of my childhood as I dress my children up and take them out Trick or Treating.

I wish I could list ALL of the reasons why I love this amazing man but I don't think that I would have the time or the patience because it would take years to name ever reason! I love him that's what counts!






Mylee was obsessed with not having dirt on the pumpkins. You can see her dusting it off!!! And then she just wanted to play in the dirt and try and lift heavy pumpkins!!!!

ok so I just had to share this because it made me laugh so hard. Earlier Shaun went in to pee and Mylee busted in while he was going. He looked over and her head was completely cocked to the side and she had a puzzled look on her face like what are you doing? so shaun said he kind of turned his back a bit more so he wasn't showing himself off to her and also hoping that this would make her want to leave. Instead it made her over exaggerate her side tip and puzzled expression! Oh i can just imagine the thoughts that are going through our 16 monther's head! I love the curiousness even if it is at the most opportune times!

How many people does it take to change a lightbulb

I took this picture today and thought I was going to die laughing!!! Both girls decided they needed to be up on the stool helping daddy change the light bulb. I love how Mylee's butt is just kind of sticking out!!! PRICELESS! so glad I had the camera on hand!

So after they were done with the light bulb, I decided to snap a couple of pics of the girls. Gotta love morning hair! I'm pretty sure that Tayla looks more like a homeless kid in these than she ever has before!!!!

The startings of FALL

Fall is my most FAVORITE time of the year! I love the smells and the look and feel! Fall coming on also means that the SNOW will be here soon! Oh how I just LOVE when Mother Nature barf's her sweetness all over the Earth. It's so peaceful and magical! I can't help but be in awe at how the world works and the wonders of it all! This year we have big trees at our house and I CAN'T WAIT to rack up the leaves into big piles and jump in them with the girls! We've already started bringing out the Halloween decorations, bought the girls their Halloween costumes, and are getting into the spirit! Tayla is going to be a purple and pink unicorn. She looks soooo darn cute in it and I am sooo excited for Halloween to roll around! Mylee is going to be a teddy bear by default! We couldn't find a cute, warm, and decent costume to fit her! Anyways today when we started putting up decorations, Tayla started getting so excited! Here are a few pictures of what we decorated!

Wow it has been a summer!!

So I would post a TON more pictures but I don't have them. Here's the deal. Back in July we had a girl take some family pictures of us and she used my memory card. She pulled it out at the end to give to me and Shaun said oh wait take a picture of this...she put it back and in and my pictures had all been erased! Lucky me right! Well there were almost 700 pictures on there that couldn't be recovered (trust me I took them in and had them try). I had some of them on my computer but not many. Luckily the only pictures in the past year that hadn't been erased were those of Mylee's birth. About a week before this happened to my memory card, I had just gone and got around 60 photos developed for some pictures. For some reason the machine had ordered doubles and I told them I didn't want doubles just singles and to discard them. Well then my memory card went plewy and I got a call a couple of weeks later that I really needed to come and pick up my pictures from the photo lab. I was like what are they talking about!! they had kept the doubles and not thrown them away like I asked and I was really glad because a lot of the ones I had gotten before were cut down to fit frames! YAY and angel was hanging around walmart just for me!!! Ok so now that I'm done telling you why I have no pictures, I do have a couple and I will post them now!!!



So last night the girls and I had graham crackers with frosting in the middle. I apparently forgot to put the frosting away and this morning about 10 minutes after we woke up, I looked over to see Mylee shoveling fist fulls of frosting in her mouth! I was like Mylee no!!!! My poor couch! It's ok though she's so cute I couldn't stay mad at her long and the couch is very cleanable!





These are just some cute little pictures I took this morning! Surprisingly enough Tayla didn't want to be in the pictures this time, and the only picture she was in both her and Mylee smiled right before and right after the picture clicked! I hope to get some more pics up soon but enjoy!!!
