Wow it has been a summer!!

So I would post a TON more pictures but I don't have them. Here's the deal. Back in July we had a girl take some family pictures of us and she used my memory card. She pulled it out at the end to give to me and Shaun said oh wait take a picture of this...she put it back and in and my pictures had all been erased! Lucky me right! Well there were almost 700 pictures on there that couldn't be recovered (trust me I took them in and had them try). I had some of them on my computer but not many. Luckily the only pictures in the past year that hadn't been erased were those of Mylee's birth. About a week before this happened to my memory card, I had just gone and got around 60 photos developed for some pictures. For some reason the machine had ordered doubles and I told them I didn't want doubles just singles and to discard them. Well then my memory card went plewy and I got a call a couple of weeks later that I really needed to come and pick up my pictures from the photo lab. I was like what are they talking about!! they had kept the doubles and not thrown them away like I asked and I was really glad because a lot of the ones I had gotten before were cut down to fit frames! YAY and angel was hanging around walmart just for me!!! Ok so now that I'm done telling you why I have no pictures, I do have a couple and I will post them now!!!

So last night the girls and I had graham crackers with frosting in the middle. I apparently forgot to put the frosting away and this morning about 10 minutes after we woke up, I looked over to see Mylee shoveling fist fulls of frosting in her mouth! I was like Mylee no!!!! My poor couch! It's ok though she's so cute I couldn't stay mad at her long and the couch is very cleanable!

These are just some cute little pictures I took this morning! Surprisingly enough Tayla didn't want to be in the pictures this time, and the only picture she was in both her and Mylee smiled right before and right after the picture clicked! I hope to get some more pics up soon but enjoy!!!

More b-day pictures

Sorry 2 different posts I'm juggling the kids!!!

Mylee turns 1

So Mylee turned 1 on June 2nd. My heart stopped just remembering all of the struggles we've had with here in the past year. Mylee came 4 weeks early on June 2, 2008 at 11:19 p.m. That day had been such a long long day. I went in to my dr appt not expecting anything. I remember that I turned 36 weeks that day. My dr had been on vacation for a week week and a half or something and this was his first day back. I'd been on bedrest for 3 weeks? It was so emotionally hard but I made it through. Anyways so I went in nothing new was doing my stress tests, nothing felt different. felt a contraction here and there but still nothing new, that I thought until the nurse came in to check and me and asked if I could feel my contractions and how strong they were. I told her I felt 1 maybe 2 but they didn't hurt at all. Well about 15 min later they came in checked me I was at a 4 and 90% effaced. The dr told me go to L&D you're having a baby today. I freaked out WHAT? Shaun wasn't even there. I hurried and called him and he freaked out! Luckily he answered because he hasn't answered once that day! We went to L&D and well they set the IV monitored me, and sent me home 3 hours later because contractions weren't getting worse. I was at a 5 when I left and he said I'd be surprised if you didn't have her within 24 hours but in case you don't take your IV out at home after 24 hours. well by the time we got checked out and home I ATE and ATE and ATE because I was STARVING!!! By 7 I knew we needed to go back in. Well the rest is history! We loved our beautiful blue smurf! She was soooo blue but her scores were 9 and 10 so perfect! At 3 days old she went back into the hospital for jaundice. Stayed there just over 24 hours. On Shaun and my's 3 year anniversary, Mylee was admitted to the NICU in Twin Falls where she wasn't expected to make it through the next 24 hours. She not only did she make it through the NICU but she made it to her 1st b-day which no one thought would ever happen! Here she is walking, no teeth, smile as big as the world, and such a blessing in our lives. She loves to play with her big sister and although my mommy instincts kick in when the body slam each other, I can already tell how good of friends they are. We had a party for the girls and I took as many pics as I could until my camera died! Mylee thank you for staying in our lives. We love you and couldn't imagine a day without your laughter, funny faces, or the way you make us smile.

1 little Monkey

Ok so Tayla really likes to say this rhyme, and it's SO CUTE that she thinks the monkeys are jumping on her "dora" bed. She has dora sheets and a dora blanket but it's her "dora" bed!! It's so cute! I love this princess so much! Words cannot describe!

Shaun's b-day and TONS of pictures!

Ok so here's another post with lots and lots of pictures! We went down to New Mexico to surprise my MIL Judy for her 50th birthday. We threw her and Shaun a combined birthday party. Shaun's birthday is May 12th but we figured it was close enough to celebrate! Everyone who wanted to pitched in and got shaun a BBQ and things to go with it. I went and picked it out and brought it home. Mylee was really fussing when we were there and so I gave her some cake!!! I got the funniest pictures in return! I don't think she's ever had cake before this day but she didn't even blink before she dug in and made the biggest mess in the world! I thought it was great but Shaun's sis was kinda peeved at the mess!!! Oh well the memories are the best! also I added a couple of pictures we got taken as a family while we were in NM and some pics of the girls playing outside a couple of weeks ago!

Our crazy broken painful weekend....in the hospital!

Alright, so Friday started out as a pretty good day. I got the girls breakfast and started packing more boxes. I was doing really good on time but was pretty tired from packing so I decided that if the girls settled down a little later I might take a little snooze. We had talked to Shaun a couple of times already that morning and he was doing good. He told me they were just headed out to deepen a well and wouldn't be too long that night. I made lunch around 11:30 or so. Tayla really really wanted to call Shaun so I tried a couple of times but he didn't answer. We said a prayer on our food and usually I ask that Shaun be safe at work and that he comes home safely. For some reason I forgot this time and ended the prayer right as I hear Tayla say a bless my daddy be safe at work, bless him come home safe bless my daddy. We ate lunch and headed to the bedroom for our nap. I had just gotten both girls to sleep and was dozing off myself when my cell phone rang. I broke the screen again so I couldn't tell who was calling. It wasn't Shaun's ring tone so I didn't expect it to be him. I answered and he told me that he was in the hospital and that he had broken his arm. He was really calm and acted like it wasn't anything. I figured they were just going to put a cast on him so I asked if he wanted me to come up there or if he just wanted to keep me posted. He said yeah come up. So I found a babysitter for Tayla and headed up. I was there by about 1:15 or so. Well x-rays showed that he had broken both bones on his right forearm and had broken the tip of his ring finger and cracked his shoulder. a mess right! Well they took him into surgery to put 2 plates, pins, and screws into his arm, and a pin in the end of his finger. They weren't sure what all was wrong with his shoulder but they knew it was cracked and the doctor said it would just be easier to do an MRI after the surgery on his arm was done. From the time they took Shaun to surgery to the time he was brought back up to the room it took about 4 gruling hours. What happened was that Shaun was putting a piece of metal casing in the hole when it caught his finger and started wrapping it around the machine. He ran around the machine and was able to get his hand free long enough to jump off the rig. His shoulder popped out of socket and when he jumped down it popped back in but he really hurt it. We are just blessed to have him here still. We've been told MANY times over the last 2 days how lucky he is to have his arm and fingers still intact. Usually when something like this happens you lose anything that gets caught. How blessed are we that the only stitches Shaun got were the ones from surgery. We were also told that this is rare and a big blessing. I love my husband so much and I couldn't imagine my life without him. I can't believe that I thought it was something so simple as a cast and almost didn't go down there! Here are some gross icky pictures but still kinda cool!!! They are of the pin sticking out of Shaun's finger! I told him he did this because he didn't want to have to move anything, he wanted to leave it for me!!!

The death of my grandpa

yesterday I found out that my grandpa had passed away. It's been a struggle. Sometimes I think about how sureal it seems and how I don't know how I should feel. A couple of days after Mylee went into the NICU I found out that my grandpa had suffered a heart attack while on his way to UT and was admitted to the same hospital as Mylee. I thought in a way beyond the circumstances of us being there that it was a God send. I needed someone so bad during those days and although their days there weren't very long I was able to recieve the comfort and love I needed from family. I said my goodbyes to Frank because they didn't think he would make it and then all of a sudden he bounced back better than anyone could have imagined. I love my grandma so much and after he got to go home within a week they sold their house and moved in with family in California. this was hard but I knew they'd do ok there. well grandma went into an assisted living home and she isn't herself. some days she knows what's going on but most days she has no clue. I doubt she'll last much longer. Frank was all that was holding her together. She has had such bad health over the last couple of years and Frank hasn't had one thing wrong with him. I guess I should tell you that they aren't biologically my grandparents. Betty is my Uncle Ron's mom. Ron is my dad's half brother from my grandpa's marriage with Betty. My grandma disapeared out of our lives when I was 8 and these last 5 or 6 years or so have meant the most to me with them. They were the grandparents I never had and they found it just a high high compliment that I would call them my grandparents. I got a gift from them when I was pregnant with Tayla and they have never missed one of her birthdays. I'm really going to miss my grandpa and I hope my grandma joins him soon so her heart doesn't have to hurt they way ours do....
